These notes are put together from the BBC Bitesize revision site and although they look at Kenya where we looked at Zanzibar in Tanzania the ideas are still the same.
Tourism is an example of a tertiary industry.
Remember that although it can help an LEDC to develop it’s economy it must be sustainable and LEDCs should not become dependent on tourism as it is an industry which can suffer problems at any time e.g. 9/11 and Foot and Mouth and the weather!!
