The First Post

This is the first post for the brand spanking new department at Birley Community College.  The individuals and society department will start work in September 2007 and will comprise the History, Geography, Religious Studies and PSHE/Citizenship subjects - so yes it is just a posh name for humanities. 

 I’ve been so impressed with the other blogs out there and the effectiveness that this can have with students I decided to jump on the bandwagon and put some ideas up myself.
